Session Dates

Sessions are held via Zoom. Group is limited to 8 participants. Please plan to attend all dates. Fee includes all four sessions, and refunds will not be given for partial attendance. However, if you need to step out at the top of the hour, that is no problem. Feel free to enjoy lunch during the session!

Small Group Consultation Format

  • Target audience

    This case consult series would best serve mental health clinicians who already have a basic understanding of the CBT model and are looking to apply it to challenging cases. Participants should have at least one client with depression or anxiety to discuss.

  • Logistics

    Before each meeting, participants will be complete a brief reading or assignment on a concept that will then be discussed as a group. The remainder of the session will be spent on case consultation and planning to apply the concepts discussed. Participants will receive up to 7 CE Hours which includes out of session homework time. (**CEs only offered for Montana licensees).

  • Modalities

    The trainer/consultant will reinforce evidence-based standards of care with emphasis on CBT but may also integrate third wave therapies such as Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Kyrie Russ

Clinician & Trainer

Kyrie Russ is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Montana and the owner of Mount Helena Counseling, PLLC. Her clinical practice focuses on providing evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure therapies, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She specializes in the treatment of OCD, anxiety related disorders, and eating disorders. Kyrie expanded her practice to provide training and consultation programs, as she has noticed gaps in evidence-based training opportunities for behavioral health providers in Montana and other rural areas. She is the founder of the annual Montana CBT Conference. Prior to private practice, Kyrie worked in a college setting. Her educational and career background has led to a passion for teaching, both with clients and with other counselors. She strives to help clients understand why we do what we do, how the brain works, and practical strategies for change. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Kyrie worked for Cornell University's extension service, disseminating research-based human development information to parents and families. Kyrie has an undergraduate degree in Human Development from Montana State, a Master's Degree in Adult Education from Buffalo State College in New York, and a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Great Falls. She has received advanced CBT training through the International OCD Foundation and participates in ongoing consultation with experts in the field.
